John Cooper QC is Chairman of the League Against Cruel Sports, and a leading human rights and criminal barrister at 25 Bedford Row.
He was awarded the title of Q.C in March 2010 and is now recognized as being one of the leading barristers in London, described by The Times as “a rising star of the Criminal Bar”. Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1983 and the Australian Bar in 1989, he spent a period of time with one of the world’s leading Law Firms, Clifford Chance in London.
John was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2009 and his writing work spans television, theatre, academic, journalism and leading text books, with a Broadcasting career including a six part Channel 4 series “Teens on Trial”. John was most recently seen presenting BBC television's "Mindfield"
